Hub helps Richborough Estates secure outline planning permission

Hub Transport Planning Launton

We’re delighted to have helped our client, land promoter Richborough Estates, achieve outline planning permission for its proposed residential development in Launton in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Located off Station Road, the 14.3-acre scheme has consent for up to 65 new homes including 8 live-work properties and 35 per cent affordable housing provision.

Our director Gerard McKinney provided transport reports to support the planning application and ensure the new development will be easily and safely accessible for people travelling by foot, bike, car and public transport.

His proposals included:

  • Relocating the existing speed limit and gateway entry feature to the village on Station Road
  • New and improved footway connecting to existing pedestrian infrastructure on Station Road
  • Realignment of the Station Road junction in the centre of the village to improve visibility and safety
  • Contributions towards bus service and bus stop improvements in the centre of the village
  • A contribution towards Public Right of Way improvements connecting the site to local facilities

Director James Parker also attended the planning appeal, to give evidence on the sustainability of the scheme and dealing with third-party objections regarding highway safety and highway network capacity.
